  Course Description:

  This Fire Instructor II course is designed to meet the requirements outlined in NFPA 1041, Standard for Fire and Emergency Services Instructor Professional Qualifications, 2019 Edition. This advanced-level course builds upon the foundational skills of Fire Instructor I and focuses on developing the knowledge and abilities required to supervise and coordinate fire and EMS training programs.

  Over two instructional days (approximately 8 hours each), participants will engage in structured presentations, group discussions, and scenario-based instruction focused on curriculum development, evaluation techniques, resource management, and instructional supervision. A third day is dedicated to Job Performance Requirements (JPR) evaluations, candidate presentations, and proctor review to ensure full compliance with certification standards.

  Each day includes a morning break, a lunch break, and assigned homework to support the following day’s practical activities and JPR reviews. Successful course completion requires active participation and demonstration of all required Fire Instructor II JPRs.
