    The Colorado Fire Training Officer’s Association (CFTOA) is proud to recognize Jason Clark of the Eagle Fire Protection District for his years of exceptional service and leadership within the association. The recognition was presented by Lisa Pine, Division of Fire Prevention and Control’s Section Chief of Professional Qualifications and Training, in honor of Jason’s significant contributions to advancing fire service training across the state.

    As the outgoing president of the CFTOA, Jason Clark has exemplified commitment, dedication, and vision in his leadership. During his tenure, he worked tirelessly to support training officers throughout Colorado, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and innovation within the fire service. His efforts have been instrumental in shaping a stronger, more unified training network that continues to elevate the standards of firefighter education and readiness.

    Jason’s decision to step away from re-election as president reflects his humility and trust in the ongoing progress of the organization. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve and his confidence in the association’s ability to continue advancing its mission.

    The Northeast Teller Fire Protection District is proud to announce that their Fire Training Officer has been recognized with the prestigious Walter L. Stonehocker Excellence in Training Award for 2024, presented by the Colorado Fire Training Officer's Association (CFTOA).

    The Fire Fighter I/II Committee has proposed updates to several of the FFI JPR skills sheet to better align with the standard and assist with the testing evaluation process. The committee chair will present and discuss the changes during the August 8, 2024, CFTOA meeting. Per Section 5.10 in the CDFPC Policy and Procedures Manual, the proposed JPRs will be made available for a public comment period of 90 days.
